Mark Randall Paige

Raleigh, NC:  December 5, 2014

Mark Randall Paige passed away peacefully at home on December 5, 2014 and rose to glory after a six year, hard-fought battle with ALS.

Mark is survived by his beloved wife, Mynn Paige, and sons Spencer Paige and Philip Paige. He was preceded in death by his mother, Anita E. Paige; father, Richard G. Paige; half brother, Gerard Winterkorn; and half brother, Donald Winterkorn.

Mark was born on July 28, 1954 in Rochester, NY. He spent a decade in Colorado working and earning his way through college, receiving BS and MS degrees from Colorado State University. He began his career as a Chemical Engineer at Abbott Laboratories in North Chicago, IL. After seven years, he moved with his wife to Raleigh, NC, to work for Novozymes NA, Inc., located in Franklinton, NC. During his nearly 20 years of service there, he expatriated with his family to Denmark for two and a half years, returning to Novozymes in Franklinton as Vice President of Technical Operations. It is not overstated to say that Mark loved his work and his people. The only ones he loved more were his family members. Mark was a dedicated husband and father. He spent much time with his wife and sons in the outdoors, camping, cooking, listening to music, laughing, but always guiding and leading by example

Mark was a longtime member of St. John's Episcopal Church in Wake Forest.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to The ALS Association, Jim "Catfish" Hunter Chapter, 4 N. Blount St., Suite 200, Raleigh, NC 27601.
