Karen E. Zempel, unexpectedly, Monday, June 23, 1997 at age 42. She is survived by her mother and father, Florence and Norman Zempel of Clayton, NY and Sebring, FL; brothers and sisters-in-law, Paul and Karen Zempel of Fairport, Mark and Karen Zempel of Colorado, James Zempel of South Carolina; niece, Tara Zempel; and nephew, Matthew Zempel.
Friends were invited to a Memorial Funeral Mass celebrating Karen's life with Father James Callan presiding at Corpus Christi Church, 864 East Main Street.

Karen and I went to college together. She was so spontanious and full of laughter. We had such great times. I may have some pics at Endicott College where we both went. If I can find the I will post them. She will always hold a special place in my heart. God needed her more than we did. Maybe to spred laughter through Heaven... Such a great girl, I will love her always.....
