In Jr. High School was Judy Barnum- math, Gil Petrie for science.

High School: Miss Covington. She was awesome and gave me a different take on what she went through. Also Mr. Keiser, although he had a hard shell he was probably  one of the best teachers I  ever had. He had such knowledge of history. I think that is where my love for history came from.

Dick Leno.....He always gave me such a great understanding of math. He had a way if showing me different ways to look at math.

I don't remember the teacher but one of the best classe I took was public speaking. It has helped me through my life even today.

I know I had a public speaking class with John Denison, could that be the teacher you're thinking of, Gail?

Mrs. Conley was one of my favorite teachers, she gave me a strong basis for my decision to study physical education as an undergrad.  Although I never taught school, I used the principles of maintaining health and  keeping physically fit in my first career in recreation.  Fred Rockow, although not my teacher, obviously, taught me so much about running pools and providing me with a stellar example of what it means to work with/work for someone.  He taught me a great deal about leading by example.  Also helped instill the fitness for life that has served me well through the years.

Susi,

I think you hit it right on the head....Mr. Denison. It paved a way for me tospeak publically in large groups.

The State of South Dakota wants me to speak to the legislature about Domestic Violence That will be coming in the near future. Had a couple of bad marriages but the best part is that I have 7 beautiful children and 8 awesome grandchildren. Because of that class it empowered me to be able to speak on such subjescts.

I am so glad we are connected. I hope you are coming to the reunion. I will be coming from South Dakota!!!

Keep in contact with me. It is so much fun!

Gail

I remember Mrs. Conley! I remember helping her on the Cygnets Managers club. She was very nice, and adorable!
