Canandaigua, NY:  October 17, 1976

Mary Lou Humphreys, age 21, of Stone Hedge Apartments, died on Sunday, October 17, 1976, as a result of a car accident on Route 332. A memorial service was held on October 20 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, East Avenue, Rochester.

Miss Humphreys was the daughter of Guy Jr. and Carolyn Humphreys of Pittsford. She is survived by her four sisters, Mrs. David (Linda) Butwid of Victor,  Mrs. Kenneth (Margaret) Keenan of West Bloomfield, Miss Julie Humphreys, and Miss Susan Humphreys, both of Pittsford;  her maternal grandmother, Mrs. Dorothy Johnson, of East Rochester;  paternal grandmother, Mrs. Thomas Humphreys, of Garrison, Tex.;  and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Miss Humphreys was engaged to Scott S. Sainsbury of Canandaigua.

Miss Humphreys was a student at Rochester Institute of Technology. She was a member of The National Ski Patrol at Bristol Mountain.

Contributions may be made to the Mary Lou Humphreys Memorial Fund of the F. F. Thompson Memorial Hospital. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements are being handled by the Schaefer-Sainsbury Funeral Home.

Mary Lou was my first crush at Jefferson Road School.  She was so pretty and so full of life. Very sad to learn that she passed away at such a young age so many years ago.
